Health Certificates

A Pet Health Certificate is an official document signed by a licensed veterinarian verifying that your pet is:

  • Up-to-date on required vaccinations
  • Microchip number verified
  • Free from contagious diseases including internal and external parasites
  • Healthy and fit to travel
  • Depending on your destination, certificates may be used for airline travel, border crossings, or international export.

CFIA Travel Certificates

Our team is experienced with both domestic and international travel regulations, including Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) protocols, airline standards, and import/export rules for specific destinations. At your initial veterinary appointment, we will create a timeline for you to ensure your pet is approved to travel. We recommend reaching out to us in advance of your trip so we can ensure your pet meets all the import regulations of the country you are travelling too.

It is very important to book your appointment with the CFIA within 10 days of your travel date, so they can stamp your form which has been filled out by one of our veterinarians.

Our Pet Travel Certificate Services include

  • Comprehensive physical exam & travel fitness evaluation
  • Vaccination updates and documentation
  • Microchip verification or implantation
  • Rabies antibody (titer) testing, when needed
  • CFIA endorsement assistance and export documentation
  • Coordination with airlines, embassies, and relocation agencies
  • Country-specific travel guidance and checklists
  • We’ll ensure every form is accurate and every step complies with destination and airline rules.
