Vaccines protect dogs and cats from dangerous, highly contagious diseases that can cause severe illness or even be life-threatening. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy or kitten, or maintaining the health of an adult or senior pet, our veterinarians design personalized vaccination plans based on your pet’s age, breed, and lifestyle.

Dogs – Core Vaccines (Recommended for All Dogs):

  • Rabies: Fatal and transmissible to humans; required by Ontario law
  • DA2PP: Combination vaccine for distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus
  • Leptospirosis: Protects against bacteria found in water and soil

 

Non-Core Vaccines (Lifestyle-Based):

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough): For social or boarding dogs
  • Lyme Disease: Transmitted by ticks; common in wooded areas
  • Canine Influenza: Recommended for multi-dog environments or travel

 

Cats – Core Vaccines (Recommended for All Cats):

  • Rabies: Required by law even for indoor cats, protects against a deadly virus
  • FVRCP: Combination vaccine protecting against rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia

 

Non-Core Vaccines (As Needed):

  • Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV): For outdoor or multi-cat households
  • Chlamydophila felis: Helps prevent upper respiratory infections in high-risk cats

Puppy & Kitten Services

Giving your new puppy or kitten the best start is essential for their continued growth and health. Your new pet will receive their first vaccination between 6-8 weeks old with boosters every 3–4 weeks until 16–20 weeks. They can get their first rabies vaccine at 12–16 weeks.
