X-rays use electromagnetic radiation to produce images of the body’s internal structures. They are helpful for detecting chest conditions such as asthma, bronchopneumonia, cancer, and fluid accumulation caused by congestive heart failure. X-rays are also widely used to diagnose musculoskeletal disorders, including arthritis, hip dysplasia, fractures, CCL tears and cancerous bone lesions. In addition, they can assist in assessing abdominal issues, such as foreign bodies, bladder stones, tumors, constipation, and megacolon.
